Louis Vuitton Printed Folding Umbrella with Rue Scribe Motif in White, Black, Brown and Pink

Details

A folding umbrella on a slim black frame: the ribs and stretchers end in small gold-tone ball tips, and the shaft carries a cylindrical honey-brown handle with a polished gold-tone collar and a flat brown wrist strap. The canopy is printed edge to edge with an engraved-style cartouche, a large cursive Louis Vuitton banner, the line 1. Rue Scribe PARIS, a horse-drawn carriage below and overlapping circular medallions with four-petal flowers around the border. The same print sits on four grounds: white, black, warm brown and pink. Each version changes the colour of the banner and medallions, while the layout stays the same. The underside is black. Folded, a printed band with a round gold-tone stud holds it, and a gold-tone cap with the monogram closes the top.
