Size guide: how to measure clothing and shoes
Measure a garment or shoe you own and compare centimetre measurements with the size chart. Tips for Asian sizing, tops, trousers and sneakers.
Measure what you already own
The most reliable way to choose a size is to lay a well-fitting garment flat and measure it in centimetres, then compare those numbers with the measurements on the listing or size chart.
Tops, hoodies and jackets
• Chest: armpit to armpit, measured flat. • Length: from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem. • Shoulder: seam to seam across the back. • Sleeve: shoulder seam to cuff.
Trousers and shorts
• Waist: straight across the top, measured flat. • Hip: across the widest point. • Inseam: crotch seam to hem. • Leg opening: across the hem.
Sneakers and shoes
Measure your foot length in centimetres from heel to longest toe while standing, then compare it with the brand's size chart. Fit differs between models, so check notes about narrow or wide fits.
Asian sizing
Many listings use Asian sizing, which often runs one or two sizes smaller than US or EU labels. Always compare measurements rather than the letter size, and allow a little room for layering.
Still unsure?
Ask the shopping agent platform to measure the item when it arrives, and check the QC photos before it ships.
